Login and Registration Issues
Is this site totally free? We were 100% free for almost 3 years. On May 29, 2007 some features became paid. The most important paid feature is that to start a correspondence you have to pay. The most important free feature is that to read messages and reply to them you DO NOT have to pay. Back to top |
Why should I register on this site? How are you different from others? Because since we are the small site, we still care about quality, and don't permit Russian and Nigerian scam on our site. The big established sites don't care anymore, besides they are so big that they physically cannot scan all IPs and monitor the suspicious members activity, unless someone starts complaining, which is usually too late and the damage has been done already. We do care. We monitor IPs, scan for scam and work day and night to protect you from fraud. Back to top |
Why cannot I log in? Have you registered? Seriously, you must register in order to log in. If you have registered and you still cannot log in then check and double-check your username and password. Usually this is the problem. The most common mistake is that people include an extra blank space at the end of the word. Usually this happens when doing copy and paste from e-mail instead of typing it manually. The system is sensitive to all blank spaces, and of course it's case sensitive. The word 'John ' (with a blank space) and 'John' the system treats like two absolutely different words.
Another MOST COMMON REASON is a corrupted cookie on your computer. This site stores logins in a cookie on your PC. If it becomes corrupted by some reason, you will not be able to login, or stay connected. To correct this situation, clean your Temporarily Internet files, delete all cookies, re-start your PC and try again. Back to top |
Why do I need to register at all? Because on the dating and friendship sites registration is a must. Without registration, there will be no profiles, thus no dating sites!! Back to top |
Will other members see my email address after registration? No way. Your email address is ALWAYS kept private. Back to top |
Why do you ask for my email address than? Will you disclose it to the third parties? No, we don't and will never do, under any circumstances. Your email address is necessary in case lets say you forget your password and wish it to be emailed to you. Back to top |
Why cannot I search profiles without registering? Because any search is hard on system recourses and database. Since our site is free, we cannot afford our own dedicated server and have to save the system recourses for our registered members. Back to top |
Why do I get logged off automatically? If you do not check the Log me in automatically box when you log in, the board will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box during login. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university cluster, etc.
Another MOST COMMON REASON for being logged-off in the middle of your session is a corrupted cookie on your computer. This site stores logins in a cookie on your PC. If it becomes corrupted by some reason, you will not be able to login, or stay connected. To correct this situation, clean your Temporarily Internet files, delete all cookies, re-start your PC and try again. Back to top |
How do I prevent my username from appearing in the online user listings? Click on Be invisible. Alternatively, in your profile you will find an option Hide your online status; if you switch this on you'll only appear to board administrators or to yourself. You will be counted as a hidden user. Back to top |
I've lost my password! Don't panic! While your password cannot be retrieved it can be reset. To do this go to the login page and click I've forgotten my password. Follow the instructions and you should be back online in no time. But remember, you MUST click on the activation link in e-mail only ONCE! If you click twice, you will get a message that it doesn't match any in the database. In this case, request a new one and this time make sure you click only once. Back to top |

User Profile, Preferences and settings
How do I change my settings? To alter your settings click the Edit your Profile link. This will allow you to change all your settings. Back to top |
The times are not correct! The times are almost certainly correct; however, what you may be seeing are times displayed in a timezone different from the one you are in. If this is the case, you should change your profile setting for the timezone to match your particular area, e.g. London, Paris, New York, Sydney, etc. Back to top |
I changed the timezone and the time is still wrong! If you are sure you have set the timezone correctly and the time is still different, the most likely answer is daylight savings time (or summer time as it is known in the UK and other places). The board is not designed to handle the changeovers between standard and daylight time so during summer months the time may be an hour different from the real local time. Back to top |
My language is not in the list! The most likely reason for this is: we merely don't speak your language! However, if you wish to volunteer and help us with the translations and language packs, you are very welcome to contact admin, your help will be appreciated. Back to top |
Why parts of other members profiles are displayed in language different than I've selected? The ability to choose your preferred language is just a courtesy of this site. It is for your convenience, so you can see the menu items and some useful site information in your language. But we don't do miracles, i.e. translations of what other people submit. If somebody submits profile or posts on the message board in language different than yours, sorry! That's the way it is, this information cannot be translated for you. Back to top |
What is Buddylist? Adding a person to your Buddylist is a good way to show somebody that you are interested, and show to others your friends circle. We encourage you to check 'Who am I a Buddy of' list from time to time, to see who added you and who liked you, and remove yourself from the buddylists of people you don't want to be associated with. Also, it is an easy way to check when your buddies are on the site and invite them to chat. Please keep in mind that your buddies will be displayed in your profile, and everybody can see who are your buddies. Back to top |
Can I add more photos to my profile? Currently, you can only have one photo on your profile. Back to top |
How do I delete my profile? Please use this form to delete your profile. Also, please keep in mind: once you are gone, all private messages that you sent will be gone as well, including from your recepients 'Savebox'. Therefore, before deleting your profile, notify all your friends on the site, provide them with an aletrnative method of contacting you and make sure they read your message. Please make sure you are not subscribed to a Golden plan, because if you delete your profile, you will lose your subscription Back to top |

Payments | |
What are the benefits of being a Golden member? Please view this page for comparison of Standard and Golden memberships. Back to top |
How do I become a Golden member? Please go to this page to choose your plan and submit your payment. The instant payments made via PayPal will give you an instant access to the site. Payments for all plans are made on recurring basis, via payPal they are automatic, unless you unsubscribe. If you wish to pay with Western Union, please contact administration. Back to top |
What forms of payments do you accept? We accept PayPal and credit cards via PayPal (highly preferable payment method), WebMoney (for FSU users) and Western Union. |
How to pay with WebMoney? To pay your subscription with the help of WebMoney Transfer, select your plan, and send the necessary ammount in WMZ to purse No. Z760477878119. |
Can I subscribe to a longer plan? Yes, wait until your current subscription expires, cancel the recurring payment for the current subscription from your PayPal account and re-subscribe for a longer plan. Back to top |
How do I cancel my Golden membership? If you paid with Paypal, log into your PayPal account and cancel your subscription. The recurring payments will stop. You will still remain a Golden member till the end of your current prepaid period, but you will not be charged again. If you paid with WebMoney or Western Union, simply don't make another scheduled manual payment. Keep in mind, that canceling Golden membership doesn't remove your profile. To remove your profile completely, please fill out the cancellation form. Back to top |
I changed my mind, can I cancel my Golden membership and get my money back? The subscription fees are non-refundable. The same policy is on all other dating services. Back to top |
If I delete my profile prior to my subscription expiration date, will I get a refund? No, we do not pro-rate your subscription. If you delete your profile prior to your subscription expiration date, you will lose your current subscription. Back to top |

Private Messaging | |
Why cannot I access my mailbox? Probably because you are not logged in. Back to top |
I was notified that I received a private message, but didn't find any message in my mailbox. Why? Several reasons:
- sender deleted his profile. When a profile is deleted, all messages are deleted as well
- sender was removed from this site for abuse of our TOS. Please check our list of removed members
- sender deleted the message himself from his 'Outbox' before you even got a chance to read it. Remember, if you remove something from your 'Outbox' (by error, or because you changed your mind), the recepient will still get a PM notification, but will not find your message in his Inbox and will never be able to read it. Back to top |
How long do my messages remain in the mailbox? The messages (read and unread) will remain in your mailbox for 3 months, then they will be automatically deleted from all folders, except from your 'Savebox'. Thus, keep all important messages that you wish to save in the 'Savebox'. Back to top |
I had a message in my mailbox and it disappeared. Why? Two reasons:
- the message was over 3 months old
- the sender is no longer a member of this site. He either deleted his profile, or was removed by administration for abuse of TOS, or for a long period of inactivity. Yes, we DO remove old inactive profiles! We are after quality, not quantity.
If a profile is deleted, all messages are deleted as well, including from your Savebox. Keep this in mind, and before you delete your profile, get in touch with your buddies and provide them with an alernative method of contacting you, because once you leave, all your messages to them on this site will be gone as well. Back to top |
I keep getting unwanted private messages! Just add the abuser to your Black List and you will not receive any more messages from him. Keep in mind though, your Black List applies to the messages sent through this site's messaging system ONLY. If you previously gave the abuser your e-mail address, and he is e-mailing you to that address, there is nothing we can do. Please don't reveal your e-mail address, unless you are absolutely confident. Back to top |
I have received a spamming or abusive email from someone on this site! If it happened through this site, please notify the administration and we will remove him from the site. If you gave him your e-mail and it happened outside this site, we are sorry to hear that, but your email address is ALWAYS kept private and we don't encourage you to give your email address to anybody whom you just met on this site. However, if you do decide to give your email, AIM, MSN or Yahoo messenger to somebody, please use a good judgment. Back to top |

Posting Issues | |
How do I delete a post in forum? Unfortunately, you cannot delete a post, even if it's yours. If you strongly feel that some post should be deleted, please notify admin or the board moderator. Back to top |
How do I add a signature to my post? To add a signature to a post you must first create one; this is done via your profile. Once created you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate radio box in your profile. You can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the add signature box on the posting form. Back to top |
How do I create a poll? Creating a poll is easy -- when you post a new topic (or edit the first post of a topic, if you have permission) you should see a Add Poll form below the main posting box. If you cannot see this then you probably do not have rights to create polls. You should enter a title for the poll and then at least two options -- to set an option type in the poll question and click the Add option button. You can also set a time limit for the poll, 0 being an infinite amount. The limit of options you can list is 10. Back to top |
How do I edit a poll? Polls can only be edited by the original poster. To edit a poll, click the first post in the topic, which always has the poll associated with it. If no one has cast a vote then the original poster can edit any poll option. However, if people have already placed votes only moderators or admin can edit it; this is to prevent people rigging polls by changing options mid-way through a poll Back to top |
What is BBCode? BBCode is a special implementation of HTML. You can also disable it on a per post basis from the posting form. BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML: tags are enclosed in square braces [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed. For more information on BBCode see the guide which can be accessed from the posting page. Back to top |
Can I use HTML? No, sorry. This is a safety feature to prevent people from abusing the board by using tags which may destroy the layout or cause other problems. Back to top |
What are Smileys? Smileys, or Emoticons, are small graphical images which can be used to express some feeling using a short code, e.g. :) means happy, :( means sad. The full list of emoticons can be seen via the posting form. Try not to overuse smileys, though, as they can quickly render a post unreadable and a moderator may decide to edit them out or remove the post altogether. Back to top |
Can I post Images? Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.photobucket.com. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use the BBCode [img] tag. Other Issues
Why do people write to me in some language I don't even speak? Probably because they are really interested in you, but unfortunately don't speak your language, and hope that you will translate it somehow. Though we personally think that writing to a person in a language that he (she) obviously doesn't speak is a bad idea. Back to top |
Why nobody writes to me? Hard to say... In any case, your best bet is not to wait for somebody to contact you, but make the first move yourself. Back to top |
Where are the girls? Why there are not many young girls on this site? Unfortunately, the truth is that many so-called 'girls' from 18 to 30 on other dating sites are scam, either Russian or Nigerian. We kick them out. Back to top |
Why aren't some other features available? We have a lot of plans to improve this site. We've just started and there is still much more to come. However, if you are interested in some particular feature, why not post about it in our forum, we can discuss it with other members and maybe add it in the future. Back to top |
